Evaluations
Aspirations LLC evaluates patients for articulation, receptive language, expressive language, fluency, feeding, and dysphagia needs based on referral type, and a variety of evaluation techniques including standardized testing, speech and language samples, oral motor examinations, texture and consistency assessment, observations, family/parent report, and detailed history. Based on evaluation additional referrals for testing may be recommended. Each patient's individualized plan of care including, frequency and duration of sessions, will be determined based on the results of the evaluation.
Treatment
Treatment progress is contingent upon consistency and adherence to recommendations made by your Speech Language Pathologist. Family members are encouraged and often requested to participate in therapy sessions in order to learn strategies and techniques which will support the family beyond the therapy setting. Therapy is provided in a patient-friendly, patient-centered and clinician supported setting with an emphasis on intervention techniques and strategies to support the patient to reach their fullest potential. At times, your SLP may request that you bring something from home in order to support therapy interventions and generalization to other settings.
